Dr Anjana Devi is a Senior Scientist at the Applied biology department of CSIR-IICT. She obtained her Doctorate from Centre for Cellular and Molecular biology CCMB, Hyderabad. Her research interests lie mainly in applying cell, molecular biology and proteomics-based approaches to understand the underlying mechanisms behind autophagy, its associated processes and its role in cell survival and death in cancer. She has guided and co-guided many students for partial fulfilment of the post graduation degree towards completion of the dissertation thesis projects. Two PhD students are awarded doctorate with publications in peer reviewed journals and presently three research scholars are pursuing PhD under her guidance. She served as the Principal Investigator, Co-PI and as a team member in the extramural projects funded by DBT, Indo-Russian Joint project , in-house funded ongoing projects, 11th and 12th five-year plan projects with publications of international repute. She participated in many prestigious International and National conferences, edited books and contributed to book chapters. She is a member of several prestigious scientific societies.
