Subhash Ghosh obtained his B.Sc (1994) and M.Sc (1996, 1st Rank) in Chemistry from Calcutta University and Ph. D in 2001 from Osmania University (work was carried out at CSIR-IICT) in the area of peptide chemistry under the supervision of Dr. T. K. Chakraborty. After spending one year (2001-2002) at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (USA) with Professor Eric Oldfield and two years (2002-2004) at University of California, San-Diego (USA) with Professor Emmanuel Theodorakis, as a post-doctoral fellow, in 2004 he started his independent research career at CSIR-IICT as a scientist and currently he is working as a Principal Scientist in the same organization.
His current research interests include the total synthesis of biologically active natural products and process development of APIs.
He is a recipient of CSIR-Young Scientist Award and INSA Medal for Young Scientist.
