Dr. Haridas obtained PhD in 2006 from the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Greifswald, Germany. During the PhD project, his research focused on synthesis and evaluation of pseudosaccharinamine derivatives as elastase inhibitors. Thereafter he joined the Chemical Genomics Centre of the Max-Planck Society in Dortmund, Germany, as a postdoctoral fellow. During the postdoctoral study his research interest included deveopment of kinase inhibitors.
He joined Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in 2011 and led the Medicinal Chemistry activities of Open Source Drug Discovery till February 2014. Thereaffter, he joined the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, where he is a Principal Scientist and his group focuses on drug discovery in tuberculosis.
