Dr. Haridas obtained PhD in 2006 from the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Greifswald, Germany. During the PhD project, his research focused on synthesis and evaluation of pseudosaccharinamine derivatives as elastase inhibitors. Thereafter he joined the Chemical Genomics Centre of the Max-Planck Society in Dortmund, Germany, as a postdoctoral fellow. During the postdoctoral studies his research interests included design and synthesis of kinase inhibitors, functional probes to dissect oncogenic signaling pathway dependencies in cellular systems and understanding the drug-receptor interactions at cellular level.
He joined Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in 2011 and led the Medicinal Chemistry activities of Open Source Drug Discovery till February 2014. Thereaffter he joined the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, where he is currently a principal scientist and his group focuses on drug discovery in tuberculosis.
