Dr. Ravithej Singh obtained doctoral degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi for the research work carried out towards the development of novel, environmental benign and cost-effective organic synthetic methodologies and rational design, synthesis of pharmacologically important small molecules of biomedical significance at CSIR - Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow.
In 2016 he was awarded CSIR-CDRI Incentive award for the appreciation of excellent research work. Subsequently, he joined as a postdoctoral researcher to work on kinase inhibitors collaborative project between ZJGU, Hangzhou, and the King’s College London. Then, for the second postdoc, he moved to the School of Medicine, University of Maryland, Baltimore, to work on multidisciplinary collaborative research projects involving designing and synthesis of novel G-Protein Coupled Receptor antagonists. Some of his synthesized molecules have shown therapeutic potential and are filed for US patent for further development.
Recently, he's appointed as Scientist at CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, and continuing his research carrier as principal investigator. His research goal is to carry out translational research projects by integrating organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry approaches for knowledge-based designing and synthesis of novel small molecule inhibitors and activators towards the development of improved therapeutics.
