Dr. Jagadeesh Bharatam is a leading practitioner of Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy of the country, and specializes in both solid-state as well as solution-state NMR methods and related instrumentation. He is currently a Chief Scientist in the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and heads the NMR & Structural Chemistry Division, country’s largest NMR base with nine high-field NMR spectrometers and engaged in diverse research activities. He received his PhD degree from the School of Physics, University of Hyderabad in 1994. Subsequently, he carried out his postdoctoral research studies at University of Waterloo, Canada and University of Florida, USA. He is a recipient of prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and carried out his research work at RWTH, Aachen and Technical University, Munich, Germany.
