Dr.Sridhar obtained his Doctoral degree in X-ray crystallography from Madurai Kamaraj University in 2004. He joined in the Laboratory of X-ray Crystallography division of Indian institute of Chemical Technology as Scientist-B in the same year. His research work mainly focused on, drug polymorphism, supramolecular assembly studies, multicomponent drug crystal structures and drug-nucleobase interactions. One of his structure lamotrigine an antiepileptic drug has entered as a half-a-million crystal structure in Cambridge Crystallographic data base. He has actively involved in several industrial projects and carried out the structural elucidations of API’s and its impurities using X-ray diffraction studies to understand the impurity profile of their API’s. Several crystal structures were solved by him for in-house projects of IICT to help the organic chemist to understand their reaction pathways and stereochemistry for their chiral molecules. He has more 100 publications in the internationally reputed journals.
